Modern Warfare 2, Play It or Boycott It?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 already launched for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 10, with separate editions also confirmed for the Wii and DS. It is the sixth installment of the Call of Duty series and the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, continuing along the same storyline.

What is The Controversy?

An early level in the game entitled "No Russian" has the player assume control of a deep cover CIA agent, joining a group of Russian nationalist terrorists in enacting an airport massacre. The player is given the option to skip the level at any point. The game was discussed briefly in Britain's House of Commons after the issue was brought to the attention of MP Keith Vaz, a long time opponent of violence in video games, with fellow labor politician Tom Watson arguing that the level was "no worse than in many films and books" and criticizing Vaz for "collaborating with the Daily Mail to create moral panic over the use of video games".

This controversial mission was removed from the Russian version of the game. Sales of console editions of MW2 were delayed in Russia because authorities ordered the recall of all printed discs where the mission was not locked out.

7 Reasons to Choose Windows 7 over Vista

Windows 7 has already available for retail since October 22, 2009. Many of Windows user still hesitate to buy this new Operating System (OS), because Vista was a big flop from Microsoft and their user even prefer to stick with the older Windows XP. Those who think like that should have nothing to worry, because Windows 7 was originally intended to focused on upgrade Window Vista, rather than introducing a lot of new features that less than user friendly like Vista.

So, let's see this 7 reasons why Windows 7 is better than Vista to help you decide whether you want to upgrade your OS or not:

1. Windows 7 requires hardware specification that much more lower than Windows Vista. If you're now using Vista OS and your PC seems to going slower each time you uses, you might still can run Windows 7 smoothly. Don't be surprised if in the near future you'll see a netbook using Windows 7 as its Operating System.

2. Windows 7 ready to support you who like to work in a multi-monitors configuration. It has been supported by a wider choice of graphic cards for a dual-display setting.

A feast fore sore eye

3. More user friendly UAC (User Account Control). UAC supposed to be the core value of Vista in security compared to Windows XP, but in reality many user has turned off this feature because it's giving much more problems than advantages. In Windows 7 user can customize this feature much to their comfort to set what they can and can't do when they're working with their PC. UAC also provides better security against malware.

4. Faster booting time. It still depends on what third party software you've installed on your PC, but overall it boot faster than Windows XP and Vista.

5. More enhanced display appearances. "Auto sizing side-by-side windows" feature, taskbar preview, notification baloons, simplified security massages. Microsoft really wants to provide their user with an eye treat experiences and more user friendly interfaces.

6. You don't have to be a genius to set up your local area connection. Unlike when you have to connected LAN from Windows Vista to a network that worked on XP platform that so troublesome, using Windows 7 will be much more easier.

7. Compatibility for your older hardware and software. Although this is also not a problem when you're using Vista but it still good to know that our expensive-but-old hardware and software will be working perfectly in this new OS, of course with a minor upgrade to your driver.

Note how your opened application pinned to the taskbar

Hardware recommended for Windows 7:
Intel or AMD processor Dual Core with 1 GHz clock
1 Gb of RAM (2 Gb when you're using Windows 7 64-bit)
16 Gb of HDD space (20 Gb for Windows 7 64-bit)
Graphic Card that supports Direct X 9.0 and WDDM driver.
