Taser Axon, Head-Mounted Camera

This time, let's take a look at another gadget that incredible enough in my opinion, Taser Axon.

Taser Axon, is a camera that mounts on the head and meant to be a recorder.

As reported by Mercury News, that head-mounted camera will apparently be used on police officers in the San Jose area to record contact with civilians. The camera will be activated when the officer make contact with a person, and the recording will be downloaded to a central server at the end of the officer's shift.

A leading critic of the department welcomed the cameras as a tool to provide useful evidence, but dismissed their significance as a solution to rocky police-community relations.

"The AXON project is unfortunately a positive thing right now because the level of distrust is so high," said Raj Jayadev, director of the community organization Silicon Valley De-Bug. "But it doesn't address the more fundamental problem: What stereotypes police may carry when they see people of color on the street and make assumptions about.

The kit includes a camera, a control piece and a computer that can hang from the belt, cost $1700.

So you have to be more be careful if you want to talk back to San Jose's police officers. When your words considered against the officers, it will activate Taser Axon, the head mounted camera they wore, and you might end up spending a night or two in jail....
